ONE DAY WORKSHOP

at the Adkins - Caudill Performing Arts Center

Who's in Rabbit's House?

Monday, January 18th 9 AM - 4 PM  (Elliott County -- No School)

(Ages 6 and up)

This one day workshop is sure to encourage your creativity. Using the actors’ tools; body, voice and imagination, students will bring to life this African Tale. Rabbit, with the help of her neighbors, will discover just who IS in her house! Mask making will be a part of this adventure, as well as music and dance! Join LCT and play away the day!

Cost is $5 or pay what you can!

We provide lunch, crafts and a Pizza Party for all children!

We will have a sharing for family and friends that evening at 5:30pm

 

SPRING BREAK Performance Workshop: (ages 7 and up)

Daylong sessions that allow participants to improve their acting and performance skills. Students receive classes in acting, improvisation, voice, and movement. Each child enrolled in a workshop receives a speaking role in the play and rehearses every day, culminating in a fully mounted performance for family and friends on Friday evening. Sign up to add a little drama to your child’s life!

Robin Hood          April 5th through 9th, 2010         9AM-4PM

Adkins - Caudill Performing Arts Center

Robin Hood lives with his friends in Sherwood Forrest; fighting the rich to help the poor. Join Maid Marian, Little John, King Richard and more of your favorite Robin Hood characters as we work together to bring to life this wonderful tale. This week will be filled with crafts, games, costumes, props and -- OH!, of course there will be ... ... ... SWORD FIGHTING!!!

Cost is $5 or pay what you can!

We will provide lunch, supplies and a Pizza Party for all children!

We will have a sharing with family and friends Friday evening April 9th at 5:30PM.

Growing-up is hard enough, but imagine growing-up during the American Civil War. Henry Fleming can’t wait to leave his small town to join the Union Army but will the toils of war be too much for the young man? Will he be brave enough when the bullets begin to fly? Based on the novel by Stephen Crane, The Red Badge of Courage is the telling of one boy’s struggle to not only discover what it means to be a man, but what it means to be a hero.

Harry Potter and Quidditch World Cup

Double Bubble Quiddditch Trouble

Week one        July 5th-9th      9am-4pm     Adkins - Caudill Performing Arts Center        (Ages 7 and up)

Are you interested in a flying lesson with Madame Hooch? Does your wand need a sizing and fitting? When was the last time you went to a Sorting Ceremony, complete with a talking hat? Harry Potter in Double Bubble, Quidditch Trouble, takes place at the Quiddtich World Cup before the opening ceremony where someone has turned into a frog! Join Harry, Hermione, Ron and others for a week of fun and games. 

 We will have a sharing for family and friends on Friday July 9th at 5:30pm.

           

Harry Potter and Moaning Myrtle’s Magnificent Mayhem

Week two       July 12th -16th       9am-4pm         Adkins - Caudill Performing Arts Center        (Ages 7 and up)

If Moaning Myrtle can’t have fun, then nobody can!!! The Yule Ball is about to commence, and there is much that needs to be done; music to choose, decorations to hang, food to prepare. However, if Myrtle hears about the Yule Ball, there could be trouble! The last time there was a dance; Myrtle threw tantrums in the Great Hall, hid every right shoe in the castle, and refused to let anyone into the dance by flooding the Great Hall! Join Harry and his friends as they try to figure out how to stop this “ghostly” ghastly rampage!

We will have a sharing for family and friends on Friday July 16th at 5:30pm.
