Stanley Yelnats wakes up, misses the bus, gets his binder tossed in the toilet, is charged for a crime he didn’t commit and there is only one explanation: the curse. When mystical Madame Zeroni's charm put on his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great grandfather lands Stanley in Camp Green Lake, he is forced to dig holes to pay for his mistakes. Little does he know, buried beneath the sand is a legend, a love story and a curse.
