The BFG (Big
Friendly Giant)
Based upon the story by Roald Dahl
Dramatized by David Wood
Performed by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Our final Discovery Production of the season is a tale of
friendship and imagination between a warm hearted Giant and a
young naïve girl. When the Big Friendly Giant goes dream blowing
and accidentally wakes the sleeping Sophie, he snatches her in
fear of being discovered and takes her to Giant Country. Not all
the Giants in the land are friendly; in fact many enjoy eating
young children. The BFG and Sophie work together to devise a plan
to stop the Giant’s child-eating-romps that involve the Queen of
England and the Head of the Air Force and Army, Join us for this
oversized tale of an oversized giant and wonderfully sized
friendship.
