i was here

“We’ve been a part of the story the whole time, Juju.”

Sometimes history can feel so far away  yet we are still an intricate part of the events that unfold. In partnership with the i was here project, i was here is a collection of short stories inspired by the ancestral spirit portraits placed all around downtown Lexington. We hope to highlight stories of people of the past whose lives still impact the present.
