Arts Administration interns are immersed in all
aspects of marketing, special events, audience
development and audience services. Candidates share responsibilities in
reception/box office which focuses on public relations, front of
house and box office. Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
mandatory. Knowledge of Adobe PageMaker and graphic design
experience helpful, but not necessary. Applicants should include
design and writing samples in their application.

Summer Costume Intern
Available May to August
Preference is given to a candidate
that would stay a whole year and complete season internship as
well.
Summer position constructs and
maintains wardrobe of the Summer Family Musical. May design,
construct and maintain education stock costumes. Also
assists Resident Costumer in research, planning, construction
and maintenance of costumes for Main Stage season. Qualified
summer interns may be offered the Summer Family Musical design
opportunity.

Available September to May.
Preference is given to a candidate
that would stay a whole year and complete summer internship as
well.
Intern assists Resident Costumer in all
aspects of construction & maintenance of costumes for Main Stage
production season. Including, cutting, stitching, draping,
craftwork, inventory, wardrobe and more! Season interns
usually design at least one Main Stage and/or Discovery
production depending on qualifications.

Interns teach drama classes in our theatre
school, direct performance workshops and assist with outreach in
local schools. September to May interns assist the Education
Director in day to day operations and administrative duties and may
also perform in Main Stage
productions if time and opportunity allow. Teaching experience is
highly desired. MUST have a demonstrated interest in theatre
for youth. Please include writing samples (a lesson plan, college
assignment or article -- something that indicates how well
you'll write for teacher play guides) in your application.

Ideal candidate will have an interest in theatre for
youth. Responsibilities include performance in LCT's Main Stage
productions. (We guarantee a minimum of two roles during
the season.)
Additional duties will be assigned as needed, including secondary
assignment to another department. (No, we can't be rehearsing and
performing every moment of the day.) Applicants must include a
cover letter, head-shot, resume and 3 current references. You
cannot be seriously considered unless you include a video or
DVD sample of work that follow the audition
guidelines or we saw your
audition at UPTA or SETC.

Assists Production Stage Manager with
Main Stage and education productions as well as company management
responsibilities. Summer intern stage manages the Summer Family
Musical and assists with tour company preparations and education
programming. Season position is guaranteed to stage manager on at least three Main
Stage productions.

Available May through August.
Serves in all areas of production including:
carpentry, props, sound, and lighting. Qualified interns may be
afforded design opportunities in Summer Family Musical.

Season
Available September through May
Focus on scene painting and properties
for eight show season. Assists in scene shop as needed. Qualified
interns may be offered design opportunities in Discovery
Productions. Applicants should include properties and/or painting
samples in their application.
