Audition for LCT Companies

What: Company B is an LCT sponsored troupe designed for motivated students, grades 9-12, looking for a serious-minded, highly-structured and exciting opportunity to learn and combine all the aspects of theatre, including acting, design, and directing.

Junior Company is an exciting acting troupe at LCT designed from young people in grades 6 -8, who are looking to give themselves a firm foundation in the dramatic arts.

When: Both Companies will meet on Tuesdays, Jr. Company from 6:30 – 8:30 PM and Company B from 6:30 – 9 PM.

How Much: Tuition for both companies is $300 and both are required to perform 15 volunteer hours per semester for LCT.

Auditions:
Sept. 8 & 9, from 4:30 – 8 PM
Sept. 10, from 12 - 6PM

Those wishing to audition for Company B should prepare two contrasting 2-minute monologues, or a monologue and a song.

To audition for Junior Company please prepare a
1-minute monologue.

Audition for
Starlight Singers

What: An elite musical theatre ensemble for those interested in honing skills in, and performing a wide variety of contemporary and classic musical theatre numbers.          
Members will learn 10-12 songs (group, solo, duet) to perform throughout the year.

Who: 12 High School Students in and around Fayette County.
2 Sopranos, 2 Second Sopranos, 2 Altos, 3 Tenors and 3 Basses

When: Rehearsals: To be determined based on the schedule of the group.                                                 We will have an initial meeting on November 12th @ 6:00.

Performances: We will have an opening showcase for parents and friends. Then we will have scheduled performances around Lexington (not to exceed 3 per month).
This is a year long commitment. Members will audition in October and will be members through August of 2011. Members must re-audition each year.

Where: Performances will be at Lexington Children’s Theatre as well as around town.

Auditions:
September 18 from 5 – 7:30 PM
September 19 from 5:30 – 8 PM

Callbacks will be September 21st from 6 – 8 PM                

Auditionees will need to prepare one musical theatre piece (contemporary or classic). An accompanist will be provided. At the audition you will also learn a song, and dance a bit. Please come in clothes that you can move in.
