Residents of Rowan, Elliott and surrounding counties now have their own Family Series thanks to a generous grant from Theatre Communications Group and the W. Paul and Lucille C. Little Foundatin. Performed at the Morehead Conference Center and the Adkins-Caudill Center, these shows are an opportunity for local residents to enjoy theatre together as a family.

Mouse

He’s back!!! Another adventure begins when your favorite hungry mouse wanders back into the kitchen. And he’s just a little mouse –wouldn’t you offer him a cookie? But with a cookie, he’ll want milk – which leads to straws, scissors, and a big mess! Obviously, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill, fuzzy little mouse. Get ready to join a little boy as he discovers how big an adventure he can have without ever leaving his own home.

Join Shooting Stars Youtheatre and Lexington Children’s Theatre Tour Company for a family night of fun. We will open the doors at 6pm (5:30 in Elliott County) to crafts, dinner and a chance to talk with our actors and staff and then at 7pm (6:30 in Elliott County) we will watch and learn what happens, IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE!

princess

What does a lowly bird know about coming weather? And how dare it suggest that the princess give up some of her beautiful hair! Jealousy drives the foolish bird’s prediction, or so the princess hopes. But the drought ravages the realm, and everything the bird foretold comes to pass. How can you dream when your most valued possession is snatched away? Hope can’t live in such a harsh climate. Now the fate of the entire kingdom rests with a hungry beggar boy, Muoma – and only his dream holds the secret to saving the land.
