Journeyman Positions
A Journeyman is exactly what it sounds like -- an intern who has chosen to stay with the organization for a second year or season. All internships are available to become Journeyman if both parties find it mutually agreeable AND we are clear as to what the journeyman expects to learn or focus on by remaining a second year with us. The question, "How will they continue to grow as an artist?" will be asked before we consider having an intern return as a journeyman. Quite often the department focus changes for the second year.
Housing is provided for journeymen and they do receive a slightly larger stipend. They may also hold an outside job understanding that their responsibilities to LCT always come first. But after having spent one season or year with us, they will have a much better idea of whether an outside job is feasible or not.
SEASONAL and CONTRACT POSITIONS
These artisans contribute to the successful completion of our season whether working on a single six week contract or up to a full nine months (and many numbers in between!). The positions are as varied as the needs of our season of shows.
