If you ask his classmates about Bradley Chalkers they would tell you he’s a monster. If you mention him to his teachers, they would say he’s a student with serious behavior problems. But if you ask Carla, the new guidance counselor at Red Hill School, she would tell you the truth. Bradley is a fifth grader with no self-esteem, no one to talk to and his bullying is merely a cry for help. With her unconventional methods, Carla attempts to crack open this monster and in the process discovers a heart of gold.
