Our 3 member companies
travel throughout the state
in a fifteen passenger van with sets and costumes for two
productions. One geared to K - 3 audiences, the other targeted
at grades 4 - 6 .

Salary for all main stage and
touring contracts is $325 - $350 per week, during rehearsal and
performance periods. Actors may also have
additional technical, promotional or teaching responsibilities
depending on rehearsal and performance schedules and assignments. Some Main
Stage productions have limited regional performance schedules
during which actors are responsible for technical duties as
assigned by the Production Stage Manager. When traveling outside
Lexington LCT provides transportation, per
diem and lodging.
Interns, actors and guest artists
reside in LCT's 3 Bedroom 3.5 bath townhouses at no additional
fee.

SETC (South Eastern
Theatre Conference) March and September.
Local auditions are arranged by
appointment only.

We recommend submitting materials
prior to arranging an audition. That way we are familiar with
you and what opportunities we may present for each other.
Most positions are offered between
February 10 and April 30 although casting goes on year round.

All actors (professional and intern applicants) need to prepare a two to three minute audition
package and be prepared with a headshot and resume. Be sure to
include current contact info and three recent professional
references w/phone numbers or active e-mail addresses.
As you prepare your audition piece we prefer that you include two
contrasting monologues designed to give us insight into your
skills as a performer, and showcase your versatility. Many of
our actors must perform more than one character in a production
and certainly more than one if cast in multiple contracts. Also
prepare at least 20 seconds of a song which will be sung
acapella (unless you provide the accompaniment). Vocal range will be checked against a piano. If
you play a musical instrument you are welcome to demonstrate
that ability as well. Please provide all instruments other than
piano.
Your audition at either UPTA or SETC
qualifies as fitting these guidelines.
