 This is a wonderful class for young children with active imaginations and lots of creative energy. Explore the world of drama where unique characters and whimsical stories are just waiting to be discovered. Students utilize theatrical elements to enact favorite and classic stories.

Go on a journey to find the magic of the imagination. Students use their bodies, voices and minds to go on a quest of the utmost urgency. Music, art, costumes and props will develop our imaginary world of danger and intrigue.

Wild Moves

Come and journey into the world of theatrical movement,  This class explores various movement styles and develops technical and improvisational movement skills.  You will learn how to use movement to develop wonderful animal characters and stories of your own. 

In a Land Far Away...

Students take a story or tale they know and create a play complete with   dialogue, costumes and scenery. This class is designed to prepare young actors for LCT’s Performance Workshops and Discovery series auditions. Come and bring your talents to life on stage.

Acting from a Script

Students learn how to approach a character by analyzing dialogue and the script.  Students will perform their scenes on the last day of class with costumes and suggested set pieces.

Actors must learn to manipulate their body and voices to convey emotion, strength, and beauty.  This class will work to develop the actor's body and voice in order to create dynamic and versatile characters.

Create-A-Play: Harry Potter

Bring Harry Potter and his charmed friends to life by exploring characters and creating scenes from J.K. Rowling's books.  Have a blast researching characters and situations using movement, vocalization, and imagination.

Exploring Shakespeare

Musical Theatre Revue

This class is for students who wish to develop their musical performance skills.  Focusing on dances, songs, and scenes performed in musicals.

Sketch Comedy

It’s not what is said, but how it’s said that makes it funny.  Learn performance techniques specific to sketch comedy by performing classic routines from classic television and comedy groups. Come and learn to “ham it up.”

 Max visits the monsters and becomes their king! Using tools such as acting, art, music and dance, students explore a story through the theatrical elements of drama.

Performance Workshop: Jungle Book

Mowgli learns that the ways of the jungle and the ways of humans are not the same.

Performance Workshops are a terrific introduction to theatre for those who are new to classes, as well as a great way to improve acting skills for those who have participated in the past. Each student enrolled in the workshop will receive a speaking role in the play and rehearse every day, culminating in a performance for family and friends on Friday evening.
