Types of Positions at LCT

Part-Time Positions

We hire a variety of part-time positions seasonally in different departments. These positions are short-term or semester-long (4 months) renewable contracts for up to 15 hours a week, depending on the position.

Associate Positions

Associate Positions are designed to enhance an artist’s opportunities to acquire training in their area of interest. We are looking for individuals who wish to explore the aspects of theatre through meaningful hands‐on experience while enriching the young people and families of Kentucky. Expect to be challenged by a creative process that relies on both ingenuity and collaboration! These positions are 9-12 month commitments for 28 hours a week.

Full-Time Short-Term Staff Positions 

This year LCT will hire season-long employees to complete contracts in Education and Production. In previous seasons additional positions have included – Directing, Education, Production, Arts Administration, and Stage Management.

These staff members are usually brought in for a 1-2 year renewable contract, provide meaningful contributions to our programming and uphold the quality and professionalism of the organization. Full-time staff members embody the mentoring and educational philosophies of Lexington Children’s Theatre while leading interns and other staff in their area of focus.

Staff Positions

At its core, LCT employs a passionate group of professional theatre artists to guide and mold the organization. These leaders are contracted without end dates and the positions are advertised as they become available. Professional Performance Opportunities
