Discover More Series:
With a season all about discovery, we’ve added some exciting events to the calendar here at LCT!
DISCOVER MORE: Join your friends at LCT and celebrate family – moms and daughters, grandparents and grandchildren, brothers and sisters! This adaptation of Rapunzel is not your typical fairy tale – it is all about enjoying life’s little adventures, growing up, and the love of family! Join us before the 2:00pm show on Sunday, January 27 for some family fun before you watch the play. We’ll do some crafts, play some games, have some delicious snacks – and we’ll be joined by some friends, too! We’ll decorate race posters with Girls on the Run Central Kentucky and learn how they help girls be confident and healthy through running, and learn from our friends at Kentucky Educational Savings Plan Trust about how to start saving for college – it’s never too early!
DISCOVER MORE – Join The Ghosts of Pineville creative team and cast for a community conversation about the process of taking a story from the page to the stage following our 4:30pm performance on Sunday, Oct. 21! Our conversation will feature Sara Turner, co-founder of Cricket Press, author and illustrator of The Ghosts of Pineville graphic novels, and co-playwright of the show as well as co-playwright, Jeremy Kisling, and director, Esther Neel, and cast members. Join us to learn more about this locally grown ghost story!
DISCOVER MORE – Let’s celebrate the spirit of the holidays and give back! Join us along with our community partner, On the Move Art Studio, for a community card making project on December 1st at 5:30pm prior to the 7:00pm Pay What You Can performance of A Charlie Brown Christmas. The event will take place in the LCT lobby! You won’t want to miss this wonderful event featuring cookies, creativity, and caring!
DISCOVER MORE: LCT is teaming up with the Carnegie Center for a Snowy Day-inspired session of the Center’s monthly Toddler and Early Learner Book Clubs! Young people ages 2-5 years and their grown-ups can join us on Saturday, October 20 for story time, activities, snacks, and a performance from the actors of the show – AND the first 15 pre-registered families bring home a free copy of The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats!
