Mattie Washburn

Mattie Washburn is a junior Theatre Education major at Winthrop University. She is positively
overjoyed to be a part of LCT’s 2025 Summer Teaching Artists! Mattie has always adored
teaching young theatre students ever since her first teaching position at Pied Piper Youth
Theater South, her favorite thing is watching young people succeed in an art form that is so
near and dear to her heart. Recently Mattie performed in her university’s production of Into The
Woods as the Baker’s Wife, a show and role she has always wanted to play. She also recently
stage managed the one act Trash, Keep, and has since found a passion for stage management
from that experience. Mattie is so excited to have the opportunity to work with all of the students
here at LCT and watch how they grow in this wonderful artform!
