Lexington Children’s Theatre is one of the oldest continuously operating theatres for young people in the country, and we are proud to be the State Children’s Theatre of Kentucky, a distinction granted to LCT by the Kentucky Legislature in 1986. We serve more than 60,000 people throughout the Commonwealth every year in more than 50 counties through our Main Stage performances, Education Department, Touring Productions, and Shooting Stars Youtheatre, based in Rowan County.
As we look to the future, LCT has big ambitions of becoming THE artistic hub in Central Kentucky, known for cultivating and inspiring the next generation of theatre creators and supporters.

Ways to Support LCT
Contributions to LCT’s annual fund help us bridge the gap between ticket sales and the actual costs to produce quality, live theatre.
Your business, family, or foundation can sponsor a show or a season at LCT and help us bring live, professional theatre and arts experiences to children and families across the Commonwealth.
From office furniture to paint to technical equipment, LCT always has product needs! If you think you might be able to help us out, please call the theatre for information at 859‐254‐4546!
There’s always exciting ways to volunteer at LCT! You could help build worlds in our costume or scene shop, get the word out with our administration department, be part of a child’s first theatrical experience as a show usher, or just about anything else you can imagine!
